Climate Justice: Basel in the World is a colloquium at the University of Basel, co-organized in the spring semester 2025 by students from the AG Nachhaltigkeit and Prof. Dr. Janina Grabs. It is supported through funding by Impuls.

Twenty experts from across academia and practice have been invited to share their insights and experiences thinking about and fighting for justice in the climate crisis. Join us at the four public panel discussions this spring to learn about the concept of climate justice, progressing from fundamental theory via global practices to perspectives firmly rooted in experiences local to Basel.
This is an AG Nachhaltigkeit project. The AG Nachhaltigkeit is open to all members of the University who would like to implement sustainability projects at the University of Basel or in the Basel area. The focus is on supporting student engagement, like the creation of this colloquium. To find out more about AG Nachhaltigkeit and to join a project or even start your own, visit our website.
This course is supported by Impuls. Impuls supports lectures and students at the University of Basel in implementing projects related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of their courses. The funding from Impuls is intended to train students to become change agents for sustainability and to inspire and enable them to use these competences for sustainable development in their later professional and private lives. More information on the Impuls program is available on their website.
